It is not of great significance but “not available in your area” is the tag where i first attempted to play the link. SOmetimes I can find back doors to such site when I can devote time to the pursuit…
Frank W. Summers III: I hope to be able to inlcude a video of the lecture on the site shortly.
I should not bother you with such detail. However, I appreciate your considertion for those in this circumstance including myslef…
I really enjoyed that lecture. Apart from the ‘Rivers of blood’ speech, I didn’t know much about him beforehand. Seems like has was an interesting and multi-faceted individual.
David Morris: Many thanks. I am glad you enjoyed it. He was certainly a fascinating character, with a remarkable career.
Lord Norton,
Really enjoyed your lecture, the whole series thus far has been highly informative. A special mention should be made of Nicholas Soame’s Churchill lecture, which I thought was superb.
Powell’s love and respect for the institution of Parliament is inspiring. He truly belongs in the pantheon of great parliamentarians.
Just to ask do you know who else is going to be featured in the lecture series?
Paul n: Many thanks. I have been to all the lectures and I thought Nicholas Soames’ lecture was outstanding. Those to be covered in forthcoming lectures are (I thiink I have remembered correctly) Michael Foot, Iain Macleod, Roy Jenkins, Margaret Thatcher and Tony Benn. Lord Kinnock is giving the lecture on Michael Foot on 12 July.
